Second Coming

In the car coming home from school on Friday, Rojo pipes up with, "Mom, Jesus Christ is coming back, you know."

"Where has he been?" I ask, one eye on the road, the other in the rearview mirror.

"Hell," he says with a laugh.

"Oh, yea? Where is he going when he comes back?"

"He's going to live in our hearts this time."

Amen.

OMHoG. That boy's Spirit is as big as the skies and more solid than the Earth beneath our feet.

My heart runneth over with love for him. And you.

My favorite part of this story is your first question. Rojo's last answer holds more wisdom than most of us can hope to achieve in a lifetime.
